The Goblets are "Campana" shaped in form and stand on a stepped circular pedestal foot decorated with a band of acanthus leaves The baluster stem leads to a large bowl with slightly tapering sides and an everted rim. The lower section displays a band of a crisp trailing vines, flower heads and leopard head masks, all on a matted ground. The upper section of the main body displays a wide frieze of bound foliate scrolls interspersed with thistles, acorns and clover leaves, all in raised relief and on a matted ground. The interiors are finely gilded and the front is engraved with a contemporary Crest. The Crest is that as used by the Cotrell family. The Goblets are in excellent condition, are of a very good size and are also of a very good gauge and weight. The design is similar to that as produced by Paul Storr, however we know that there was a business relationship between Storr and Emes and Barnard.
