A George III Filigree "Frying Pan" Caddy Spoon made in Birmingham in 1805 by Joseph Willmore.

The Caddy Spoon is unusually modelled as a "Frying Pan" with circular bowl inset with a filigree panel displaying a "S" scroll in the centre. The handle is engraved with prick dot bands and a foliate motif, in addition to a vacant cartouche. This was a design made by Thomas & Joseph Willmore and a near identical design can be seen in "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie, Plate 36, Figure b. The spoon is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse of the stem.
Length: 2.5 inches, 6.25 cm.
Diameter of the bowl: 1.25 inches, 3.13 cm.
