The Slice has a beautiful triangular blade with feather edge border. The blade is finely pierced with reeded scroll work and stylised anthemion motifs. The cast handle is attached to the blade with a textured raying shell moulding and the feather edge handle is also engraved with pretty trailing foliate designs. The Slice is in excellent condition and is fully marked on the reverse. Thomas Daniel was a very fine silversmith, producing exceptional pierced items.
