This very rare Vinaigrette is modelled as a basket of fruit and flowers. This piece displays a detailed repousse hinged cover decorated with fruit and flowers with a corded edge. The handle, sides and base are engraved with basket weave design to simulate the basket. The interior displays fine original lemon gilding and a grille pierced and engraved with two flower heads surrounded by pluming scrolls. The Vinaigrette is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the base.
