The cover is beautifully decorated with a three colour gold basket of flowers, on a matted ground, surrounded by a raised band of foliate scrolls and shells. The sides display bands of roundels and cording and the base displays an unusual engine turned panel. The cover opens up to reveal a very finely pierced grille with central flower head surrounded by a circular foliate spear frame, this all surrounded by pluming scrolls.
