A very rare Coburg pattern Travelling Knife & Fork made in London in 1845 by Francis Higgins.

The Knife and Fork are modelled in the rare Coburg Pattern, which is double struck, on both the front and back. The Knife blade is silver and is decorated with flower heads in roundels and a single blue bell drop. Each end is also engraved with a contemporary Crest with the Motto "Ne Oblivis Caris" engraved on a banner below. Coburg pattern was designed for Rundell Bridge & Rundell in about 1810. This rare pattern was made by Paul Storr and is probably the pattern he was best known for. Storr's successors continued to make the pattern.
Length of the knife: 8.65 inches, 21.63cm.
Length of Fork: 7.1 inches, 17.75cm.
