The Fork is modelled in the Old English Pattern and has six elegant upturned tines.  The top of the stem is engraved with a contemporary Crest and this piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse.  These forks were generally used for serving a variety of things on the dining table and are sometimes referred to as "Salad" forks.  Richard Crossley was a prolific maker of fine flatware at this date.
