The Spoon is of typical Trefid form with a rat tail on the reverse of the bowl. The top of the stem is engraved with the contemporary initials P*P and this example displays very crisp marks and is of a very good colour. Lawrence Jones was a specialist Spoon maker and this makers mark is illustrated on page 148 of Jacksons Silver & Gold Marks. The Spoon is of a very good gauge and has a good bowl.
