This fine piece is modelled as a milk maids Pail with a beaded base and gadrooned rim. The sides are beautifully pierced with panels of trailing scroll work and stylised flower heads. The shaped cartouche is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials and displays a twisted ropework handle.
