The Basket stands on a shaped pedestal foot which is decorated with a band of foliate motifs on a prick dot ground. The shaped panelled main body is also engraved with an upper band of flower heads and foliate motifs. Both sides are also engraved with the Armorial of a Lady, surrounded by a drapery mantling cartouche. The basket has a gilded interior and is very well marked in the foot and with the sterling mark on the handle.
