The Pail stands on a circular pedestal foot decorated with beading and pierced with a band of vitruvian scrolls. The rim and handle are also decorated with beading and the vase shaped main body is pierced with flower heads in roundels, as well as two further bands of vitruvian scrolls. In addition the sides are engraved with floral garlands tied with ribbons and paterae. The reverse displays a vacant oval cartouche and this example has a blue glass liner.
