The Porringer is of a large size and is decorated on the lower half of the main body with alternate lobes and flutes. The upper section displays a protruding lobed band and various bands of punched foliate motifs. The front of the main body is engraved with an Armorial on an oval disc surrounded by a cartouche of scrolls, scale work and acanthus foliage. The Porringer has two reeded S scroll side handles and is fully marked on the side of the main body. The Arms are those of the Hanham family.
