The Sugar Vase stands on a circular domed foot, with beaded edge, which is pierced with vertical pails, roundels and arrow heads.  The main body is modelled in the Classical vase form, with an applied rim.  Most unusually, the sides are pierced with a mix of Neo Gothic and Classical designs, including Neo Gothic vertical arched pails, in addition to horizontal Classical vitruvian scrolls and Neo Classical engraved urns in ovals.  The front displays a square disc cartouche which is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials.  The arched handle is decorated with beading and has a blue glass liner.  The piercing is also engraved with bright cut designs and the lower section of the main body displays a band of prick dot garlands. The vase is in quite excellent condition and is fully marked on the lower section of the main body.
