The box has a very slender rectangular form with rounded ends. Both the cover, base and sides are engraved with engine turned panels surrounded by reeded borders. The centre of the cover is engraved with a circular cartouche containing an unusual contemporary Crest of a tower with a lion in the foreground. The interior is finely gilded and very well marked in the base and on the cover.

Width: 0.7 inches, 1.75cm.
