This very rare Caddy Spoon is referred to as the "Thumb Scoop" and displays an unusual deep bowl with scalloped rim. The handle is also shaped with a scalloped rim and is engraved with bright cut designs. This piece is in quite excellent condition and is fully marked on the underside of the handle. A near identical example is illustrated on Plate 42, Fig b of "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie.
