£1,250

This rare piece is finely modelled as a "Handbag" and is beautifully engraved with prickdot and bright cut designs including flower heads and linear designs.  The box opens up to reveal fine interior gilding and a grille engraved with pluming scrolls and flowerheads.  The grille is also pierced with plain roundels.  Handbag Vinaigrettes do not appear often today and this is in excellent condition and is of the finest quality in terms of both design and production.  The interior is very well marked on both the cover and base.
