The Basket stands on a circular foot with gadrooned edge which is pierced with scrolls. The baluster shaped main body has a gadrooned rim and is pierced and chased with bands of fruit, flowers and foliage, interspersed with panels of pierced scroll and trellis work. The basket also has an entwined band handle. This design was particularly popular in Ireland at this date.
