An unusual George IV Teapot, Edinburgh, 1829, George Paton

The Teapot stands on a stepped pedestal foot decorated with a corded band. The bellied main body is engraved with two contemporary Crests and displays an everted rim decorated with acanthus leaves. The domed cover terminates in a stylised artichoke finial and this example has an insulated plain scroll handle. The Teapot is fully marked in the foot and on the cover.
