The Tongs are of the sprung variety with a central circular boss containing a coiled steel spring. The arms are beautifully engraved with bright cut designs and the grips are decorated with a tear drop motif surrounded by linear designs. The side of one of the arms is also engraved with a contemporary Stag Crest. The Tongs are in excellent condition and are well marked on the inside of each arm with the maker's mark and sterling mark.
Length: 5.45 inches, 13.63 cm.
