A beautiful George III Serving Slice made in London in 1786 by Robert Hennell,

This beautiful example displays a navette shaped blade pierced with a band of raying flower heads in roundels, surrounded by trailing foliate scroll work.  The blade is engraved with an outer bright cut border and a navette shaped cartouche, containing a contemporary "Stag" Crest.  The Slice is in excellent condition,  displays an Old English Thread pattern handle and is fully marked on the reverse of the blade.  Serving Slices are rare to find from the Hennell workshops.
