The Cream Boat stands on three unusual cast paw feet with detailed lion mask mouldings where they are attached to the elongated main body. This piece has a shaped wavy rim and a crisp and finely detailed dolphin head handle. The base displays a crisp set of marks. This design of handle was peculiar to Newcastle and examples are very rare and desirable. This is only the second time we have seen it, on a cream boat, over the past twenty five years. This piece is in excellent condition, with a good colour.
Height, to the top of the handle: 3.5 inches, 8.75 cm.
Length: 4,5 inches, 11.25 cm.
Width: 2.5 inches, 6.25 cm.
Weight: 4oz.
