The Salt Cellars are modelled in the cauldron form with slightly baluster sides and a corded rim. Each stands on three very unusual hoof feet with female mask mouldings, under scroll supports, with turbans in their hair. The sides of the main body are decorated with flat chased designs including Rococo shells and geometric patterns. Both have blue glass liners and are very well marked on the base.
