The Spoon has a fine fig shaped bowl of very good gauge. The hexagonal stem is cut off at an angle and is engraved with a set of contemporary initials. The Spoon has an excellent colour and displays very fine marks, both on the stem and in the bowl. This piece is of a very good gauge and is in excellent condition, a very fine example. Thomas Hodges was apprenticed to the fine Spoon maker Daniel Cary. The Spoon shows the TH conjoined mark of Thomas Hodges, see Jackson page 119.
