The silver gilt Rococo teaspoons are cast and this is the first time we have seen this specific design. The bowls are plain on the front and display shell and foliate details on the reverse. The naturalistic stems are modelled to simulate the stem of a plant, with a beautiful raying flower head at the top, possibly a sunflower. The quality and design of these spoons is exceptional, as is their condition. The Spoons are unmarked, however were most probably made in London circa 1750. Very often spoons of this type, which were so heavily patterned, are unmarked.
