The Soup Ladle is of a very large size and displays a deep shell bowl. The unusually arched Hanoverian pattern handle, has a twisted section and the reverse of the top is engraved with a contemporary script initial. This piece is in excellent condition, has a fine colour and is very well marked on the reverse. The gauge of the stem is quite exceptional. Twisted stem flatware is extremely rare and usually originates from Scotland. This is the first time we have seen a twisted stem soup ladle over all of our dealing years.
