The Basket stands on an oval pedestal foot, which is decorated with beading and a bright cut band. The rim of the main body, and arched swing handle, are also decorated with beading and the main body is pierced with two horizontal bands of flower heads, as well as flower heads in roundels. The sides also display engraved foliate garlands and prick dot bands. The basket is fully marked in the foot and has a blue glass liner and also has a most unusual slender form, the like of which we have not seen before.
