The Caster stands on a circular pedestal foot which is decorated with reeding, as is the baluster shaped main body. The pull-off cover is pierced with roundels and is engraved with trellis work and terminates in an acorn finial. The Caster is fully marked in the foot and with the makers mark and sterling mark on the cover.
