This beautiful Ewer is of a large size and stands on a stepped circular pedestal foot decorated with an outer gadrooned band. The main body has a baluster form and is decorated on the lower half with bold lobed vertical bands. The slender neck rises to an everted rim and pouring spout. The cast, scroll, reeded handle is decorated with leaf capping and Classical floral roundels and the bottom of the handle displays a pierced anthemion motif. The top section displays an acanthus leaf moulding where it is attached to the main body. The Ewer is in excellent condition, is well marked and displays a double Crest on the front of the main body. The Crests are those of Lawson and Webster as used by Harry Lawson Webster, later 1st Viscount Burnham, of county Buckinghamshire.
