The Beakers are of a slightly tapering circular form with everted rim.  The main body is engraved with reeded coopered bands, the top being bound with unusual engraved clasps.  The front is beautifully engraved with a contemporary Armorial, with Crest above and vacant banner below.  This is all surrounded by a pluming scroll cartouche.  The interiors display pale lemon gilding.  All three pieces are in excellent condition and are very well marked.  The Armorial and Crest are those as used by the Philpot family of Apstone Hall, Herefordshire, as detailed in Burke's General Armory.

Height: 4.3 inches.

Daimeter at the rim: 3.15 inches.

Weight: 21oz, the set.
