The Drinking Vessels are transitional and show design elements of both the drinking beaker and tumbler cup.  The sides have a slightly baluster form and stand on a reeded foot.  The upper section displays a raised band of fruiting vines on a matted ground.  The beakers fit perfectly within each other and are each fully marked on the sides.  These may well have been a special commission, as their design is so unusual and they display design elements typical of the work of Emes and Barnard.  Their weight and gauge is exceptional and being silver gilt, they must have been made for a very grand customer.

Height of the largest vessel: 2.9 inches, 7.25 cm.

Diameter at the rim of the largest vessel: 3 inches. 7.5 cm.

Weight: A very good 17oz.
