This very rare piece is modelled as a double milk maids pail, with raised ribbed designs on the main body to simulate the metal bands on the pail. The two sections are joined together with an arched handle, decorated with reed and tie designs. The interior is finely gilded and each side is engraved with a contemporary Scottish Crest, with Motto above. This is the first time we have seen a piece of this design, which leads us to believe that it may well have been a special commission. The quality of this piece is outstanding, as one would expect from these makers. It was Andrew Fogelberg who was the Master of the Great silversmith, Paul Storr.
