The Snuff Box has a deep rectangular form, with rounded ends. The cover, base and sides are engraved with crisp borders of prick dot, scratch engraved and foliate designs. The hinge is also beautifully concealed with an engraved band. The box is in excellent condition, with fine interior gilding and crisp marks. Again, the quality and weight of this box is exceptional, being from the workshops of Phipps and Robinson, the premier box makers in London at this date.
