The Cream Pail is modelled in the form of a Milk Maid's Pail, with tapering sides and a corded base and rim.  The sides, however, are most unusual pierced with three different panels, each of different designs.  The upper section of the main body displays a horizontal  frieze of cascading scrolls above two different designs, one of stylised scale work and one of stylised raying flower heads, centred by quatrefoils.  The pail has a twisted wirework handle and blue glass liner.  It is in excellent condition and very well marked.  This is the only time we have encountered this design of pail.  William Vincent is known for the production of fine pierced items and tea wares.  He had workshops at 8, St. Ann's Lane, Wood Street, 1766-93.

Height to the rim: 2.6 inches, 6.5 cm.

Diameter at the rim: 2.9 inches, 7.25 cm
