The Salt Cellars stand on a circular spreading foot which is decorated with a band of bat wing fluting. The campana shaped bodies are also decorated with a wide bat wing fluted band and rise to an everted rim decorated with gadrooning. The pretty reed and tie handles are attached to the main body with acanthus leaf mouldings. The interior displays very fine gilding and the front is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials. Each piece is in quite excellent condition and is fully marked on the side of the main body. William Eaton made unusual, quality, pieces and these certainly fall into this category.
