This unusual label displays a curved banner, with bright cut border, and pierced scrolls below.  An oval cartouche is shown above engraved with a contemporary Crest and flanked by crossed branch supporters.  This beautiful label is in excellent condition and is clearly marked on the reverse with SB, for Susanna Barker.  Due to its unusual design, this label is shown on page 172 of " Wine Labels - 1730-2003 - A Wprldwide History."  The face is engraved with the title CLARET.
