A George III Gothic Wine Coaster made in London in 1772 by John Robins.

The Wine Coaster has a gadrooned rim and displays a protruding girdle at the base decorated with cording. The sides are beautifully hand pierced with Gothic arch work and the front displays a vacant cartouche. The coaster has its original turned fruitwood base and is very well marked.
