The Toothpick Box is of narrow rectangular form with rounded ends. The cover is engraved with sunburst design and floral motifs at each end in semi circles. The centre displays a vacant cut cornered cartouche. The sides are beautifully engraved with diamond motifs interspersed with flowerheads. The base is also decorated with sunburst design and a central flowerhead in a cartouche. The interior is inset with a mirror and is velvet lined.
