This design is one of the rarest Caddy Spoon designs. This piece has a deep circular bowl with a raised rope work border. The rope work border is again repeated on the twisted loop handle, which is also decorated with raying foliate motifs. The spoon is in excellent condition and is very well marked in the bowl. An identical example, of the same date, is shown in "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie, plate 44, figure b.
Length: 2.45 inches.
Diameter of the bowl: 2.45 inches.
