This is one of the first caddy spoon designs to be produced in London during the late 18th century. This piece has a fluted shell bowl, with incuse sides where it joins the bi-furcated "Onslow" pattern scroll handle. The spoon is in excellent condition and is very well marked with the WB maker's mark for William Brockwell, circa 1780.
