The Cream Jug stands on a square pedestal foot which is engraved with bright cut and prick dot designs, as well as circular reeded bands. The main body is modelled in the helmet form and has a reeded rim. The sides are engraved with floral and foliate garlands, as well as an upper band of stylised foliate motifs in ovals. The front displays a vacant bright cut cartouche, with foliate motif above. The Jug is in excellent condition with a reeded loop handle and displays original interior hammer marks from when it was originally raised. This is a desirable feature to see.
