The Coasters are modelled in an unusual smaller size and must have been used as Bottle Coasters. Both are circular in form, with baluster sides, decorated with vertical lobing. The sides also rise to an everted rim, decorated with gadrooning. The turned fruitwood bases are centred by a plain disc cartouche. Both are in excellent condition and are very well marked. William Stroud made very fine wine coasters, with lobed bodies, and these are fashioned from a particularly thick gauge of silver. This size of wine coasters, exclusively for bottles, were not made in great quantities and seldom appear on the market.

Height: 1.65 inches, 4.13cm.
Diameter: 4.8 inches, 12 cm.
