The Vinaigrette is silver gilt and is modelled as a pocket watch. The small size leads us to believe that it may well have been a rare childs Vinaigrette. The edge is finely chased with floral and foliate designs and the base and cover are engraved with engine turned concentric designs. This piece has a chased suspensory ring and the cover displays a vacant circular cartouche. The interior is finely gilded and well marked. The hinged grille is pierced and engraved with pluming scrolls, within a bright cut frame.
