A George III Cream Boat made in London in 1781 by William Skeen

The Cream Boat stands on an oval domed pedestal foot which is decorated with bands of bright cut and prick dot bands.  The main body is boat shaped in form with an upper band of prick dot and bright cut designs.  The elegant "S" scroll handle is decorated with leaf capping and the side of the main body is engraved with a contemporary Crest and the Motto engraved in a banner above, all in the Scottish manner.  The Crest and Motto are those of the Barclay family of Scotland.  In excellent condition and well marked under the pouring spout.
